Christie’s Auction Comms
CHRISTIE’S AUCTION HOUSE CHOSE SPIRITLAND PRODUCTIONS FOR A GLOBAL COMMS SOLUTION
On 1st March 2022, Christie’s launched the inaugural 20th/21st Century: Shanghai to London sale series, a pioneering cultural dialogue between two major international art hubs, live-streamed from Christie’s in Shanghai and London, and incorporating sale rooms in Hong Kong and New York.
Spiritland Productions provided a global comms solution using five Riedel frames (1024, Artist64s and three Artist32s) across four locations; London, Shanghai, New York and Hong Kong.
Using the SSL SDI Network i/o, we embedded comms audio on the Christies Matrox devices to each location.
Riedel trunk navigator was then used to route calls to each location with over 4000 trunk calls made during the broadcast.
Every location had a combination of Smart Panels and Boleros, with editors, producers, floor managers and auctioneer clerks all able to talk to each other, across the globe, on discrete channels.
Spiritland Productions also provide the broadcast mix for the global livestream of the auction incorporating the numerous auctioneer and telephone bidder microphones from around the world.
